Existe una añoranza, a menudo ignorada, por un estado de libertad y por la sensación de pertenecer al mundo. Con un marcado tono autobiográfico, esta instalación es a la vez pequeña y grande; pequeña en su elemento principal, pero grande al abarcar el muro completo donde se inserta la mariposa. Refleja el estado de encierro que prevalecía en aquellos tiempos, y esas ansias de escapar, tan reconocibles para tantos cubanos.

There exists a longing, often overlooked, for a state of freedom and for the feeling of belonging to the world. With a markedly autobiographical tone, this installation is at once small and large; small in its central element, but large as it encompasses the entire wall where the butterfly is inserted. It reflects the state of confinement that prevailed in those times, and that yearning to escape, so recognizable to so many Cubans.
