La intensidad de un ventilador es controlada por la información del viento en Tokyo. El título es una recreación de un título de Duchamp, Aire de París, y en cierta forma esta obra continúa ese gesto absurdo. Resulta una utopía tratar de imaginar estar en Tokyo a través del aire proveniente de un ventilador. Este objeto, muy común y necesario en Cuba por el calor que hay la mayor parte del año, al conectarse a algo tan sofisticado como la internet y más aún, a la intensidad del aire de Tokyo, se convierte en un intento absurdo de traer los aires de esta ciudad extremadamente desarrollada, limpia, organizada, a la sala de un museo en La Habana.
Al mismo tiempo, se conecta con una buena parte de mi trabajo que intenta destacar lo común que hay entre los humanos. El encuentro entre estos dos ¨aires¨, el intersticio entre ambos, es lo que me interesa, y en donde radica el sentido de esta pieza.

A fanʼs intensity is controlled from the data of the wind in Tokyo. The title is a recreation of a title by Duchamp, Air from Paris, and in a certain way this work continues that absurd gesture. It seems like a utopia to try to imagine being in Tokyo through a fanʼs air. Fans are quite common in Cuba, and very necessary due to the high temperature during almost the whole year. At the same time the fact of connecting it to something still sophisticated in Cuba such as Internet and to the wind in Tokyo, results in an absurd attempt to bring the airs of this extremely developed, clean, organized city, to the room of a museum in Havana.
At the same time, it is connected with a good part of my work that tries to highlight what is common for all humans. The encounter between these two “airs”, the interstice between both, is what interest me and where the sense of the work lies.
